About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded apprenticeship for a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, delivered by City & Guilds. The role involves assisting dentists chair-side, sterilising equipment, handling reception duties, managing patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, and supporting patient wellbeing and their overall dental experience. You will also be responsible for managing stock of equipment and supplies and maintaining patient records. The apprenticeship also covers cleaning dental areas and any other duties to support the dental team in providing effective patient care.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills are essential. Patience and a non-judgemental attitude are also key.
