About the role

Embark on a 12-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma apprenticeship in Dental Nursing. This program, accredited by City & Guilds, combines comprehensive theoretical learning with practical, hands-on experience within a dental practice. As a dental nurse apprentice, you will be integral to the smooth operation of the practice, assisting dentists with patient care, ensuring the sterilization and preparation of vital equipment, managing reception duties, and contributing to a positive patient experience. Your responsibilities will encompass providing efficient chair-side support, handling patient inquiries, processing payments, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the cleanliness of dental areas. You will also be responsible for managing stock levels of essential supplies. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with a patient and caring demeanor. Please note, applicants must be 19 years or older due to insurance restrictions.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above are desired. Strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative skills, team working abilities, and a non-judgemental, patient attitude are essential.
