About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma apprenticeship in Dental Nursing, accredited by City & Guilds. The role involves assisting dentists chair-side, sterilising and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, handling patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, and supporting patient well-being. The apprentice will also be responsible for maintaining patient records, managing stock, and ensuring a positive patient experience. The apprenticeship includes on-the-job training and functional skills development if required. Upon successful completion, career progression opportunities include roles such as team manager, team leader, dental practice manager, or further training to become a dental therapist, hygienist, or orthodontic therapist. Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above, strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills. Patience and a non-judgemental attitude are also essential.
