About the role

An exciting opportunity to train as a Dental Nurse, undertaking a 12-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma by City & Guilds. This role involves providing chair-side assistance to dentists, sterilising and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, and supporting the overall patient experience. You will gain hands-on experience in a dental practice, contributing to effective patient care. The apprenticeship includes functional skills training if required, with the training taking place at the dental surgery. Upon successful completion, career progression opportunities include roles such as team manager, dental practice manager, dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Desired skills include strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and team working abilities, along with patience and a non-judgemental attitude towards patient care.
