About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma apprenticeship in Dental Nursing, delivered by City & Guilds. As a dental nurse apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience assisting dentists, sterilising and preparing equipment, handling reception duties, and supporting the overall patient experience within the practice. The role encompasses a wide range of tasks, including managing patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for patients. You will also be responsible for managing stock and supporting the dental team in providing effective patient care. This apprenticeship requires individuals aged 19 or above due to insurance restrictions.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills are essential. Patience and a non-judgemental attitude are also required.
