About the role
This is a 12-month government-funded apprenticeship for an Apprentice Dental Nurse at GOSPORT SMILE CENTRE LTD. The course is a Level 3 Extended Diploma, accredited by City & Guilds. The role involves assisting dentists, sterilising equipment, reception duties, and supporting patient experience. Key responsibilities include providing chair-side support, managing patient queries, handling payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the cleanliness of dental areas. The apprenticeship also includes training in Functional Skills if required. Upon successful completion, there are opportunities for career progression into roles such as team manager, dental practice manager, dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.
