About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to become an Apprentice Dental Nurse at GOSPORT SMILE CENTRE LTD. This 12-month, government-funded apprenticeship, accredited by City & Guilds, will lead to a Level 3 Extended Diploma. You will gain hands-on experience assisting dentists, sterilising and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, and crucially, supporting the patient experience. The role involves a wide range of tasks, from greeting patients and handling queries to managing appointments, taking payments, and maintaining patient records. You will also be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of dental areas, managing stock, and contributing to the overall effective patient care provided by the dental team. The training will be delivered by HARRIET ELLIS TRAINING SOLUTIONS LIMITED, with additional functional skills training provided if necessary, all taking place at the dental surgery.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills are essential. Patience and a non-judgemental attitude are also highly valued.
