About the role

This is a 12-month, government-funded apprenticeship leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing. The role involves assisting dentists with various procedures, sterilizing and preparing equipment, handling reception duties, and ensuring a positive patient experience. Key responsibilities include chair-side support, managing patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing stock. You will also be involved in cleaning dental areas and supporting the overall effectiveness of patient care. Applicants must be 19 or older due to insurance restrictions. The training is delivered by Harriet Ellis Training Solutions Limited and takes place at the dental surgery.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or above. Excellent communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and team-working skills are desired. Patience and a non-judgemental attitude are essential.
