About the role

This apprenticeship offers a pathway to becoming a qualified Dental Nurse through a 12-month, government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma course by City & Guilds. Alongside your studies, you will gain practical experience within a dental practice. Your responsibilities will include assisting dentists chair-side, sterilising and preparing equipment, performing reception duties, managing patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, and supporting patient wellbeing and their overall dental experience. You will also be involved in managing stock and ensuring the cleanliness of dental areas. The role requires excellent communication, organisational, and customer care skills, along with problem-solving abilities and a patient, non-judgemental approach.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above.
