About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded apprenticeship for an Apprentice Dental Nurse. The course is a Level 3 Extended Diploma accredited by City & Guilds. The role involves assisting dentists chair-side, sterilising and preparing equipment, handling reception duties, and contributing to a positive patient experience. Daily tasks include greeting patients, managing queries and payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the cleanliness and stock management of the dental practice. Upon completion, there are opportunities for career progression into roles such as team leader, dental practice manager, or further training to become a dental therapist, hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above.
