About the role

Provide efficient and reliable chair-side support to the dental surgery. Responsibilities include reception duties, managing patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, sterilising equipment, recording patient records, supporting patient wellbeing, cleaning dental areas, and managing stock. The apprenticeship also involves supporting dentists and the senior team to provide effective patient care. Upon completion, career progression opportunities include moving into roles such as team manager, team leader, or dental practice manager. Further training can lead to becoming a dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.
