About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma apprenticeship in Dental Nursing provided by City & Guilds. As an apprentice dental nurse, you will assist dentists, sterilize and prepare equipment, handle reception duties, and support the patient experience. Key responsibilities include providing chair-side support, managing patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the wellbeing of patients. You will also be responsible for cleaning dental areas and managing stock. This role offers significant career progression opportunities within dental practice management or specialized dental roles such as dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSEs at grade 4 in English and Maths are desired. Strong communication, organizational, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills are essential.
