About the role

This is a 12-month, government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma apprenticeship in Dental Nursing, accredited by City & Guilds. The role involves assisting dentists chair-side, sterilising and preparing equipment, handling reception duties, and enhancing the patient experience. Key responsibilities include managing patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, ensuring patient wellbeing, managing stock, and cleaning dental areas. This position requires the applicant to be 19 years or older due to insurance restrictions. Successful candidates will need to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and receive a Hepatitis B vaccine. Career progression opportunities include roles such as team manager, dental practice manager, dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Excellent communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills are essential, along with patience and a non-judgemental attitude towards patient care.
