About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma apprenticeship in dental nursing. You will be trained by City & Guilds and work at Wickham Market Dental Practice Limited in Woodbridge. Your duties will include assisting dentists chair-side, sterilising and preparing equipment, managing reception, handling patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, and ensuring patient wellbeing. The role also involves administrative tasks such as recording patient records, managing stock, and maintaining cleanliness within the practice. Upon completion, there are opportunities for career progression into roles such as dental practice manager, dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and team working skills are desired. Patience and a non-judgemental attitude are essential.
