About the role

This is an apprenticeship opportunity for an Apprentice Dental Nurse based in Cheltenham. The role involves providing efficient and reliable chair-side support to the dental surgery. Daily duties include reception tasks, managing patient queries and payments, booking appointments, sterilising equipment, maintaining patient records, cleaning dental areas, and managing stock. The apprenticeship also includes duties to support dentists and the senior team in providing effective patient care.

Entry requirements include a desire for GCSE English and Maths at grade 4, along with strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills. Patience, a non-judgmental attitude, and a focus on patient care are also essential.

Upon successful completion, career progression could lead to roles such as team manager, team leader, or dental practice manager. Further training can lead to becoming a dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist. The apprenticeship is for 1 year, with training provided by Harriet Ellis Training Solutions Limited, and includes on-the-job training and potential functional skills development.
