About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to become an Apprentice Dental Nurse. The apprenticeship is a 12-month government-funded course leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, accredited by City & Guilds. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in a dental practice, assisting dentists with various procedures, sterilising and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, and ensuring a positive patient experience. Your responsibilities will include providing chair-side support, handling patient queries, processing payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing stock. You will also be involved in ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. This role offers a clear path for career progression, with opportunities to move into management roles or further specialize as a dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSEs at grade 4 in English and Maths are desired. Strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills are essential. Patience and a non-judgemental approach to patient care are also important.
