About the role

This apprenticeship offers a 12-month government-funded course by City & Guilds, leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing. The role involves providing efficient chair-side support to dentists, assisting with procedures, sterilizing and preparing equipment, and managing reception duties. You will also be responsible for dealing with patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring patient wellbeing. The apprenticeship also covers cleaning dental areas, managing stock, and supporting the wider dental team to deliver effective patient care.

Entry requirements

  • GCSEs at grade 4 in English and Maths. Strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills are essential. Patience and a non-judgmental approach are also required.
