About the role

Undertake a 12-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, provided by City & Guilds. This apprenticeship combines academic learning with practical on-the-job experience. Responsibilities will include assisting dentists during procedures, sterilising and preparing equipment, performing reception duties, and contributing to a positive patient experience. The role involves various tasks such as managing patient queries, processing payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the cleanliness of dental areas. You will also be responsible for managing stock of equipment and supplies, and supporting the wider dental team to deliver effective patient care. Additional requirements include passing a DBS check and receiving a Hepatitis B vaccination.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills are essential. Patience and a non-judgemental approach are also highly valued.
