About the role

QUEX ROAD DENTAL SURGERY LTD is seeking an Apprentice Dental Nurse in London. This is a 12-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma course by City & Guilds. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience assisting dentists, sterilizing and preparing equipment, performing reception duties, and supporting the patient experience. The role involves chair-side assistance, maintaining dental areas, managing stock, and contributing to effective patient care. You will also be supported with Functional Skills training if required. Upon completion and with experience, career progression opportunities include moving into roles like team manager, team leader, or dental practice manager. Further training could lead to becoming a dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organization, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and team working skills are essential. Patience and a non-judgmental approach to patient care are also required.
