About the role
Tom Rowland Eventing is seeking an Equine Groom Apprentice to join their international event yard. The role involves completing all normal yard tasks, supported by an experienced head girl and a Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprentice. Opportunities for riding are available for confident riders, and Tom, a Level 3 Eventing Coach, regularly teaches staff. Tasks include mucking out, tacking up, feeding, grooming, clipping, and assisting with first aid, vet/farrier visits, and competition preparation. The apprenticeship offers excellent on-site training with a Haddon Training Trainer Coach, with the possibility of progressing to a Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English: 4 (Desired), GCSE Maths: 4 (Desired), Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, Patience, Physical fitness, Good experience with horses, ideally competition horses.
