About the role

This Equine Groom Apprenticeship at EAST LEAZE FARM LIMITED offers a comprehensive introduction to equine care within a backing, pre-training, and rehabilitation yard. The role involves all general yard duties, including mucking out, turning horses in and out, operating a horse walker, filling haynets and water buckets, preparing feeds, grooming, picking out feet, and tacking up. Successful candidates will also assist with groundwork for youngsters. While the apprenticeship is non-ridden, there may be opportunities for riding for the right individual. The position requires dedication, attention to detail, good communication and organisational skills, initiative, patience, and physical fitness. Candidates must be passionate about working with horses and possess the ability to get to the farm daily for a 7:30 am start. No accommodation or livery for personal horses is provided. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and progress within the equine industry.
